That sure looked wrong to me! I then noticed that it was the 1975 NOT the 1979 footage. Starting in 76 the cars were designed to drop the motor out the bottom on head on collisions to pop the front of the car up and absorb energy so save the occupants. Also the hoods of the later models have weak spots in the support webbing under the hood to stop the Guillotine action of the hood as seen in this footage...

Honda school was so informative...
