My brother lives in chch, he said he saw a 4 door driving once, a red one! I've also seen a blue 4 door there too, im SURE of it! I live on the other side of the island, but visit chch heaps. Years ago i would see 1st gens there everywhere, but now, in the last 5-6 times ive been there (over a period of a few years), ive seen maybe 2-3. Its quite saddening!
Anyway, this one looks wicked, I wish i was allowed more cars lol. |

Is that a 4 or a 5 door?
Someone has to buy it! I'm a bit tired of being the only sort with one. |

| The ad says "4 Door, Hatchback". Also, doesn't look like there's a shelf behind the rear seat. I'm thinking it's probably a 5 Door. |

| The 5-door does have a shelf. It does sag a little as it gets older so re-inforcement is needed to get it to lock into place on the hatchback when you close the tailgate. It's in two pieces which allows it to fold down against the seat back when necessary. |

Oops, my bad.
I just figured thought that the 5 Door was probably simular to the 3 Door - just an open area in the back with no shelf. |

Nil desperandum!
I actually thought all Civics (except the Wagon) had the same kind of shelf as me. |

| No, I don't think so. The hatchbacks here had an optional Tonneau Cover for the rear, but only the 2 Door Trunk model actually came with rear a shelf. |
